Dear Reader,

I wrote Tuesday Film last fall during my final months in Springfield after living there for the first 21 years and 9 months of my life.

I actually started shooting the film on my own last year too, hoping I could pull it off before moving. I saw it as my hometown capstone of sorts, summing up my time in Springfield, as well as my perspective on the city as a whole. It would be the largest project I have embarked on so far, and proof I was ready to move on to bigger and better things.

After a few scenes, I gave up. I couldn't make Tuesday Film without help, and I was too embarrassed to ask for it.

Tuesday Film is my favorite things I've written. It's close to home. I don't want to mess it up. It's a self portrait of sorts, about looking beyond yourself. Remembering to notice the world happening around you. Learning to love where you're from despite the flaws. And coming to terms with the fact that inside of you is a small piece of everyone you've ever met.

These are things I've been thinking about for a while and the truth is: I can't get these points across without help. I never could have, but I'm committed to trying.

Now, I've gathered a team of trusted collaborators, filmmakers, and most importantly, friends to help me bring the film to life. I'm returning to Springfield this Fall to finally make Tuesday Film. We are committed to giving our time and talents to showing you the stories Tuesday Film has to tell.

Our goal is to show you city you may have never seen before. Or to bring a new perspective to a city you've grown too used to seeing. To starting noticing the simple moments. To look closer.

There are many ways to help fulfill our many needs for Tuesday Film. We are offering a unique set of photo books , prints, posters, and more as our thanks to your monetary donation. All profits from the sale of these items go directly towards production costs. We are in need of a large amount of featured extra and extra roles, as well as locations. All this to say, if you or your business are open to helping in any way, we are more than happy to talk with you. We need you. And we need Springfield.

We successfully completed crowdfunding on Kickstarter on May 30, and will be in production from May 30-June 11. It is not too late to help out if you are interested in the film.

Our goal is to highlight all the reasons we love it here. The good, the happy, the sweet, the bad, the sad, the broken.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to see you around soon.

Love only,

Kaylinn Clotfelter
